May 17, 2017

The Town Board of Lake Tomahawk held it’s Adjourned Board of Review Meeting in the Town Office of the Raymond F. Sloan Community Center on May 17, 2017.  Chairman DeMet called the meeting to order at 8:20 A.M.  Present Chairman DeMet, Supervisor Stephanie Sowatzka, Treasurer Lynch and Clerk Schneider.  Due to the fact that the assessment roll is not complete at this time, DeMet made a motion to adjourn until the Board of Review Meeting which will be held on July 12, 2017 at 5:00 P.M.  Motion seconded by Sowatzka.  Motion carried, all Ayes.

Meeting adjourned at 8:23 A.M.

The Town Board of Lake Tomahawk held it’s Adjourned Board of Review meeting at 6:55 P.M.  in the Town Office of the Raymond F. Sloan Community Center, on May 11, 2016.  Chairman DeMet made a motion that we table the election of the Chairman and Clerk until the Board of Review Meeting which will be held on July 13, 2016.  Motion seconded by Supervisor Parker.  Motion carried, all Ayes.

 

DeMet made a motion to adjourn, Seconded by Parker.  Motion carried, all Ayes.

Minutes of Adjourned Board of Review 5-13-15

The Town Board of Lake Tomahawk held it’s Adjourned Board of Review meeting at 6:55 PM at the Raymond F. Sloan Community Center in the Town Office. Election of the Chairman and Clerk will take place at the Regular Board of Review Meeting. Per the assessor, he is planning on July 25th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM for open book and August 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM for Board of Review.
Meeting adjourned at 7:00 P.M.

Town of Lake Tomahawk Board of Review, September 3, 2013

The Board of Review met in the Lake Tomahawk Town Office on September 3, 2013

Present: Chairman Rick Mazurczak, Supervisor Catherine Parker, Alternate Patricia Christy, Assessor Ed O’Meara, and Clerk Elaine Carpenter.

The meeting was called to order at 6.00 PM by Chairmen Rick Mazurczak.

Motion to approve the agenda by Catherine Parker and sec’d by Pat Christy. Motion approved all ayes.

Motion by Pat Christy and sec’d by Catherine Parker to elect Rick Mazurczak as Chairperson for the Board of Review. Motion carried all ayes.

Motion by Mazurczak and sec’d by Christy to elect Elaine Carpenter as Clerk for the Board of Review. Motion carried all ayes.

The sworn statement from Mr. O’Meara as Assessor was received by Carpenter, Clerk.

The Assessment roll was received from Mr. O’Meara

There were no cases to be heard. Mr. John Habeck came in to check his property assessment as compared to last year. No action was needed.

At 8:00 PM Mr. Mazurczak motioned to close the final Board of Review. Sec’d by Parker. Motion carried all ayes.

Please take notice that the Town Board of the Town of Lake Tomahawk at a Regular Town Board Meeting held on December 8, 2010 did adopt an ATV Ordinance Sec. 350-5 through 350-41.
Said ordinance is available for inspection in the Town Offices during regular office hours and is effective upon publication of this notice.

Town of Lake Tomahawk Special Town Meeting of the Electors, November 9, 2010

Electorate Special Town Meeting – November 9, 2010 – 6:30 p.m.

The Special Town Meeting of the Electorate was called to order by Chairman Richard Mazurczak at 6:33 p.m. in the Raymond F. Sloan Community Center.

All notices were posted according to the open meetings law and the media was notified.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chairman Richard Mazurczak.

Present: Chairman Richard Mazurczak, Supervisor Jack Dunbar, Treasurer Michael Lynch, Clerk Patricia Christy and Attorney Greg Harrold. Supervisor Shawn Tingley was present by phone.

Motion by Bev Fagan, second by Gary Sowatzka to approve the agenda of November 9, 2010, motion carried all ayes.

Authorize the Town Board to dispose of the old Town Garage at 7984 Choate (building adjacent to the American Legion Hall). - The Chairman had pictures of the inside and outside of the old town garage so people could see the condition of the building. Numerous questions were asked regarding that building such as where would the garage be built, when was the old one built? Motion by Dick Rehm that the town disposes of the old Town garage, seconded by Gary Madden and on a voice votes all ayes, motion carried.

Authorize the Town Board to replace the old Town garage with a new garage – Motion by Don Hilgendorf and seconded by Ron Laska to authorize the Town board to build a new Town Garage. Discussion followed the motion. Pat Wingo asked about the cost? The Chairman had an estimated cost for building 50 x 80 and demolition of the old town garage for roughly $150,000.00. Linda Kay Houghton-Bowen asked it the cost included electric etc. Dick Rehm asked if it will be insulated and heated and if it would have floor drains. The Clerk also mentioned that the town does have $83,000.00 saved for this project and the rest of the money was put into the 2011 budget. After the discussion on a voice vote of all ayes the motion carried.

Authorize the Town Board to dispose of the Old Fire Barn at 7945 Violet (intersection of Violet & Lilly) – Motion by Linda Kay Houghton-Bowen to authorize the Town Board to dispose of the old fire barn at 7945 Violet, seconded by Lois Fox on a voice vote all ayes motion carried.

A 6:53 p.m. a motion was made by Mike O’Brien to adjourn the Electorate Special Town Meeting and was seconded by Don Hilgendorf. On a voice vote all ayes. Motion carried.

Board of Review – June 16, 2010

The Board of Review was called to order by Town Chairman Richard Mazurczak at 5:00 P.M. in the Town Office of the Raymond F. Sloan Community Center.

All notices were posed according to the open meetings law and the media was notified.

Present: Chairman Rick Mazurczak, Supervisor Jack Dunbar, Clerk Patricia Christy, Assessor Robert Elkins. Shawn Tingley was absent.

Motion by Dunbar, sec’d by Mazurczak to approve the agenda. Motion carried all ayes.

Motion by Dunbar, sec’d by Christy to elect Rick Mazurczak as the Chairman for the Board of Review. Motion carried all ayes.

Motion by Dunbar, sec’d by Mazurczak to elect Patricia Christy as Clerk for the Board of Review. Motion carried all ayes.

The Chairman Rick Mazurczak accepted the assessment roll from the Assessor, Robert Elkins.

There were no cases to be heard.

The Assessor told us about an omitted tax that we will have to bill for 2 years 08 and 09.

The rest of the time was spent review different things in the assessment roll.

Motion by Mazurczak, sec’d by Dunbar at 7:00 p.m. to adjourn Motion carried all ayes.

Town of Lake Tomahawk Public Hearing, October 28, 2009

Public Hearing – October 28, 2009 – 7:00 P.M – Regarding Ordinance to Adopt the Year 2030 Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Lake Tomahawk.

The public hearing that the Town of Lake Tomahawk Town Board and the Lake Tomahawk Plan Commission on the proposed ordinance to adopt the Year 2030 Comprehensive Plan was called to order by Town Chairman Rick Mazurczak at 7:06 P.M.

All notices were posted according to the open meetings law and the media was notified.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chairman Rick Mazurczak.

Rick Mazurczak introduces Fred Schnook of Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLC. Fred Schnook gave a brief presentation on the organization of the plan. The plan is to create consistency and predictability, efficiencies and Community fiscal responsibilities. The public and the board made several comments. There were questions regarding restricted mix use, how to preserve green space, clustering development etc. Everyone in attendance was reminded that the plan is a work in progress. There are nine elements in the plan which include housing, transportation, utilities, issues and opportunities, economic development, communication facilities, intergovernmental cooperation land use, and implementation and natural and cultural resources. All of these elements were taken into consideration when the commission prepared the plan. The commission distributed surveys and had a 65percent return rate. The commission held public informational meeting s in April 2008, and July 23, 2008. The commission passed a formal resolution on Aug. 25, 2009, recommending to the town board to adopt the plan. Chairman Mazurczak he would like to see the plan adopted.

The Public Hearing was closed at 8:28 p.m.

SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING – OCTOBER 28, 2009 IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE PUBLIC HEARING.

The special town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Rick Mazurczak at 8:35 P.M. in the Raymond F. Sloan Community Building.

All notices were posted according to the open meetings law and the media was notified.

Present: Chairman Rick Mazurczak, Supervisor Shawn Tingley, Treasurer Mike Lynch and Clerk Patricia Christy. Jack Dunbar was absent.

1st reading of the Comprehensive Plan Ordinance – Motion by Mazurczak, sec’d by Tingley to approve the 1st reading of the ordinance to adopt the Town of Lake Tomahawk year 2030 Comprehensive Plan. On a voice vote to approve the plan Mazurczak aye, Tingley aye. Dunbar was absent. Motion passed.

Accept resignation of Jim Heller Sanitary District Commissioner - Motion by Mazurczak, sec’d by Tingley to accept the resignation of Jim Heller as Sanitary District Commissioner and to put an ad in the paper. Motion carried.

No Correspondence

Motion by Mazurczak, sec’d by Tingley at 8:45 P.M.to adjourn. Motion carried.
